Gum is a noise pop/indie rock band from Brooklyn, NY. Started as an outlet for frontman Just in 2013, the band saw a couple lineup changes before ultimately disbanding. A decade later, Gum reformed as a four piece aiming to live up to it's original concept of punk forward indie rock influenced by the likes of Pavement, Dinosaur Jr, Yo La Tengo, Thin Lizzy, Algernon, Smashing Pumpkins, Built to Spill, Pixies, etc. You'll Never Know Yourself blends these influences for something fresh.
You'll Never Know Yourself was written all in one month; recorded to be raw & natural, slanted & enchanted. An ode to the production of smaller 90's acts and a rejection of today's sterile overproduction.
